The room was dark when Jess woke up, she had such a bad headache with a horrible taste in her mouth, feeling dizzy and confused Jess tried to sit up but her body hurt so much.
Panic starts to set in as she’s looking around trying to remember how she got here, but where is here and how long has she been here?
Jess pushed herself up, her arms were weak and shaking as she swung her legs over the edge of the bed. She forced herself up into a standing position, her feet touched the floor but all she felt was a sharp excruciating pain on the soles of her feet. Jess screamed with pain, fell back onto the bed, looked down at her feet, and saw glass sticking out with blood dripping down onto the floor. Jesse's eyes welled up with tears as she started picking out the shards of glass one at a time. Now sitting on the bed crying trying to stop the bleeding. Eventually, Jess pulled herself together, looked around the room when a thought came to her, “Where’s my friend Sam, where could she be?”
There was a noise on the other side of the door, Jess started to panic, she lay back down on the bed and pretended to be asleep. The door opened about a foot wide, Jess squinted her eyes open, a tall lean man was standing in the doorway putting a bottle of water onto the floor. He stood there for a couple of minutes, there was a light behind him, Jess couldn’t see any features, only a silhouette as he stood there staring at her, then closed the door behind him. Jess could hear his footsteps fading off in the distance, she sat up again releasing there was a window in her room, so now standing once again she began shifting the glass to one side on the floor with a pillowcase from the bed. The pain in her feet was excruciating, but she had to get to the window, she had to see where she was.
It was early, the sun was just coming up, shining through the tree branches. Jess tried to open the window, it didn’t move so she tried again, this time there was a small movement, now with a renewed sense of hope Jess took a deep breath and with all her strength she pushed the window up open, wide enough for her to climb out through. It’s then Jess stopped and remembered Sam. “Shit shit shit, what do I do?”
There was movement in the passageway on the other side of her door. She could hear a key moving in the lock, having no choice now, Jess dived out the window, falling fast, landing hard on the ground with a thump, Jess forced herself up and hid in the shadows. The man was leaning out the window shouting, “You won’t get far bitch, I’ll get you!” She waited, listening to her heart pounding in her chest as she caught her breath trying to control the pain which was now coursing throughout her body. Looking around Jess noticed a forest beyond the other side of a chain-linked fence, straining her eyes Jess started searching for a gap to crawl through, then when she found it Jess summoned up all her strength and ran with all the energy she had, she ran as fast as the pain would let her, she ran as fast as she could. Every step was agony, the leaves were crunching under foot, branches snapping, eventually falling to her knees Jess began crawling through the fence, her blouse got caught, she forced herself forward ripping it, leaving a bloody gash running down her arm, as Jess stands up she stumbles, catching her fall resting against a tree while she got her breath back.
Noticing lights in the distance Jess decided to head that way not knowing what to find, she had to get help her friend Sam was still at that building.
The more Jess ran the lighter the early morning becomes, she can see cars now in the distance, Jess runs towards them, but there up a steep bank, she begins to scramble up on her hands and knees, the earth beneath her body is loose, she digs her fingers and toes in the soil and with all her strength pulls her way up, over onto the road, so exhausted Jess lies on the side of the road praying someone will drive by and help. Darkness overtakes as Jess lies motionless, waiting.
CHAPTER TWO….
The bright light hurts Jesse's eyes as she slowly opens them, everywhere is white, she can smell antiseptic, and hear muffled voices and an annoying beeping. Eventually, she’s able to open her eyes and looks straight into a stranger's face, panic sets in. Jess tries to get up but she’s groggy and falls back onto the bed. Jess starts crying asking, “Where the hell am I, how did I get here and who are you?” She hears a voice saying, “Just lie still, you're in hospital, I’m Doctor Luke, now can you tell me your name?” Looking around and calming down Jess started to explain what she could remember adding, “I need you to get the police, my friend is still there.” “That's ok we will call them now,” answered Dr Luke.
Not long after Det Mark Stone came walking in with a big smile and introduced himself saying, “Someone found you passed out on the side of the road and brought you here two days ago, are you up to telling me what happened from the beginning, anything you can tell me would be helpful no matter how small.”
Sitting up in bed now and feeling stronger Jess explained what happened, “Me and my friend Sam were just having a drink, when these two guys came up to us, they said their names were Ted and, damn I can’t remember the other one’s name, anyway we weren’t really interested so we tried to be nice and talked for a while but they just wouldn’t go away, so Sam and I got up to go, and then in the crowd I lost Sam, I couldn’t see her anywhere. I was getting dizzy now and my legs were going weak, I could feel him holding me up, walking me outside. I think I blacked out because the next thing I know I’m in the back of a van looking at Sam lying there, she's asleep and her hands were tied behind her back, I shouted to her, then nothing until I woke up on the bed in the dark room with such a bad head.” Looking at Jess and now feeling worried about her friend Sam, Det Stone asked, “How did you manage to escape?” Getting upset Jess replied, “I jumped out of the window, don’t even know how far I fell but I knew I had to, I had to get help for Sam.” Continuing Det Stone asked, “Can you tell me anything about the men who took you? Like age, height, hair colour, just things like that?” “I think they were about mid-twenties with dark messy hair, I know the one whose name I can’t remember, he seemed like the one in charge, that's all I can remember, I'm getting tired, I hope that helps?” “Definitely and thank you Jess I’ll let you rest.”
While Det Stone was walking out of the hospital he had a feeling that he knew Jess but wasn’t sure where from, it was nagging him the whole drove back to the station so as soon as he could Stone did a background check on Jess Deacon and found out they actually went to the same grade school when they were just kids, knowing this information gave him a sense of urgency to help a fellow school friend.
Det Stone got hold of Det Alan explained the situation about Jess and asked if he would help him in this case, of course, he agreed. The first job was to find any abandoned houses with more than two stories on the property records. There weren't many houses but there was an abandoned psychiatric hospital. They looked it up on the internet and there it was, a white four-story old building, rusted collapsed stairs climbing up the side and surrounded with a chain-linked fence. The two detectives looked at each other, they knew that's where they had to go. It was getting late but there was no time to lose Sam could still be there.
Stone and Alan raced over to the hospital, by now it was getting dark, the drive was tense, they approached the entrance, which had a big black iron arch looming over, Stone got out of the car to open the gates, they were heavy and rusted and creaked in protest as he pushed them open, when Stone got back in the car a shiver ran up his spine, as they drove along the driveway a flock of black birds flew up giving them both a fright, they drove slowly now, up the winding driveway, both on edge, with long dark lifeless trees branches pointing the way when Alan asked, “Do you believe in ghosts?” “Damn man why would you ask a stupid question like that, look at his place it’s creepy as fuck and you ask me that?” Alan started laughing but instantly regretted asking when they eventually pulled up outside the chain link fence.
Frozen in shock, they sat there just staring at what stood before them, it was a huge old white wood and brick building, there was a date above the front door 1903 “Wow it’s old, we better be careful it could be falling down.” Det Alan said, “I’m not scared so don’t get me wrong but I think we should call for backup, you know just in case we have an accident,” Det Stone sniggered “An accident? Yeah right, but yes we probably should, you do it.”
They both got out of the car, turned on their flashlights, and walked slowly and carefully towards the building climbing through the fence.
The pathway was overgrown with weeds, grass, and shrubs, with burnt furniture scattered everywhere. They climb the creaking stairs up to the big heavy front doors. Det Alan pushed one of the doors hoping it wouldn't open, but to his disappointment it did. The smell of stale air rushes at them in the face when Stone walks through, his flashlight illuminating the graffiti on the walls, it was so quiet as they begin to walk up the corridor, it was so dark, pointing their lights into the rooms as they pass gingerly by looking for any signs of life, then Stone hears something, he looks at Alan putting his finger to his lips to be quiet, he whispers, “Did you hear that?” Alan shook his head no, looking puzzled, Stone pointed over to the next room still whispering, “In there,” they crept to the doorway, WOOSH! Stone shrieks, falls to his knees onto the floor “Fuck me, what's that?” Det Alan started laughing, “It’s just a bat, there’s bound to be more so watch out,” “ Shut up, stop laughing it’s not funny,” Stone said trying to compose himself, taking a deep breath as they continued walking slowly but surely up the corridor again.
The walls are covered with damp and mould, the wind whistling through the building, ripped curtains dancing in the breeze, broken glass on the floor from bricks crashing through windows, their footsteps crunching and cracking on the debris as they push on through the darkness. They reach a staircase, looking at one another they gradually take one step at a time up to the third floor where Jess thinks she was kept. There's a door at the top, Det Stone has his gun and torch ready, Det Alan carefully and as quietly as he can pulls it open. Stone tiptoed through, quickly looking left then right, Alan followed straight after, he heard a noise, tapped Stone on the shoulder, and pointed to a room at the end of the long pitch black corridor.
They begin to head down keeping their lights low to the floor, it’s hard to be quiet with all the rubbish on the floor, they can hear muffled voices and someone crying. Walking faster they reach the door, calming themselves down Mark whispers, “On three, one… two…three, go,”
Det Stone kicks in the door and shouts “Freeze, drop your guns, on the floor, now!” There's a scream and shouting, as the other officers come running in, they get the young men on the floor, kick their guns away as Det Stone races over to the girl who was tied to a radiator sitting on the bed, he asked “Are you Sam, Jess told us how to find you.”
Sam looked up, it was then Stone noticed her emerald green eyes “I’m Detective Mark Stone, come on let’s take you to the ambulance waiting outside and get checked out.” He held Sam in his arms while she steadied herself, she felt the warmth of his body, the strength of his arms wrapped around her, for the first time in a while Sam felt safe and in that instant Sam knew she wasn’t going to let him go.
Det Alan and the other officers took the two men back to the police station, Sam went to the hospital while Det Stone sat in his car and rang Jess, “Hey Jess it’s Det Stone here, I’m ringing to let you know we have Sam, she’s on her way to the hospital, would you like me to come and pick you up to take you to see her, plus I have something I need to ask?” He could hear Jess crying but she managed to say “Thank you so much and a lift would be great,” “Good I’ll be at yours very soon.”
About twenty minutes or so later Jess was on her way to see Sam at the hospital, she could feel that Det Stone wanted to say something but was finding it hard so she just blurted it out, “I know you, we were at school together, do you remember?” “As it happens, yes I do but I didn’t say anything in case it made you feel awkward with what you’ve just been through.” Jess smiled, gently touched his arm saying, “Always the gentleman.” He glanced over and noticed just how pretty she was as he felt a churning in his stomach, thinking why he suddenly felt nervous.
Pulling up outside the hospital they got out of the car, Jess looked straight into his eyes, “Are you coming in I think Sam would be happy to see her rescuer,” Stone hesitated before replying “Yeah I should, I need to ask her some questions.'' Jess playfully bumped into his arm smiling and said, “Come on then let's go and see her.” Stone opened the door letting Jess through first, she blushed and thanked him, now Stone was thinking to himself “Is she flirting with me? God, I hope so” as he watches her hips sway while walking to the lift.
Feeling tense standing next to Jess in the lift not knowing what to say Stone couldn’t wait to get out, at last, the doors opened he took a deep breath of relief following Jess to see Sam.
Jess and Sam hugged each other, they were so happy. Stone noticed Sam, her green emerald eyes, there was something about those eyes but Stone couldn’t put his finger on it, shrugging the feeling off he re-introduced himself asking, “Hi Sam, do you remember me from earlier, I’m wondering if your up to answering some questions for me, and would you mind if I record what you say?” Sam suggested that he should sit down as it may take a while, replying, “I suppose Jess explained about how we met them, yes?” Det Stone nodded and she continued on, “I woke up on a horrible old mattress on the floor, I had a really bad head and my body was in so much pain, I felt like I couldn’t move, the room was dark and smelled of urine and there was junk all over the floor. One of the men was just sitting in a chair in the corner of the room watching something on his phone when the other one come running in saying Jess had jumped out the window, then who I’ve took for the leader tied my hands to the radiator and they both left, I suppose that's when they went looking for you Jess but they came back really quick and I could hear them shouting at each other from another room. I have no idea how long they were arguing for but after a while, they came back into my room and forced me to drink some water and I must have blacked out again because before I knew it I could see it was dark outside through the window. I started crying, they were shouting at me to shut up then you burst in and now I’m safe, so thank you.”
Jess sat there listening with tears rolling down her cheeks, she squeezed Sam's hand but Sam didn’t seem bothered that her best friend was upset, all she seemed to care about was that Det Stone had saved her. Sam pulled her hand away from Jess and reached over her body towards her rescuer, she now had both hands on Stone’s arm holding him tight, as he looked over to Jess, making sure she was ok, Stone felt more pressure being applied, he looked down at Sam and for a split second Stone thought those emerald green eyes looked full of rage, he must have been wrong, why would she be angry she’s just been saved. Stone made his excuses to leave but Sam asked, “Can I have your cell number, you know just in case I remember anything else?” Stone felt a sense of this not being right, but he handed her his card and began walking back to the lift until he realised he’d forgotten to ask Jess if she needed a lift back home, but when he got near to Sam’s bed Stone could hear her whispering angrily at Jess, “You better stay away from him, he’s mine, I saw how he looked at me, how he held my hand, so back off.” Sam quickly realised she was shouting at Jess then suddenly apologised “Jess I'm so sorry, I didn’t mean to shout, it’s just been one of those days, please forgive me?” Before Stone could turn away Jess came out of the room crying, she looked at him and tried to walk past but Stone grabbed her by the arm, pulled her close, and said, “I heard what she said to you, is she always like this and I didn’t have hold of her hand, you saw that right? I’m going to have to let the boss know what she said about me, I hope if it comes to it you will back me up. I actually came back to see if you’d like a lift back home?” Jess had her head down trying to hide her eyes. Stone put a finger under her chin to look up when he noticed how red her eyes were and suggested they go for a drink in the cafe around the corner.
Now waiting for the lift to arrive Stone felt an unease, the hairs on the back of his neck were standing to attention, as they got in the lift Stone turned round to see Sam standing in the corridor starting at them, his blood went cold, the look of absolute incensed outrage across her face as the doors closed, he was pleased Jess didn’t see her.
Later on, back at the station Stone went straight to his boss Lt Ross Clark, and told him about the situation with Sam and that under any circumstances did he do anything to encourage her, and that he would like to stay clear as there was just something about Sam that he didn’t trust. Back at his desk reading up on the two men they arrested, Det Stone’s phone rang, it was the sergeant on the front desk, “Det Stone, there's a parcel here for you, would you like me to send someone up with it?” Puzzled as to what it would be and from who he agreed for someone to come up. A couple of minutes later a young police officer walked towards him with a medium-sized box, he handed it to Stone and left. Everyone on the department floor stood watching as Stoned opened it. Inside was a bottle of really expensive whisky with a card reading, “Until we meet again xx.” He heard Det Alan ask, “Who’s that from?” Stone stood there staring at the bottle and reading the card again, he shook his head walking away so he could ring Jess to find out if it was from her. “Hi Jess, Mark here, just wondering how you're doing and if you sent something to the station?” Jess sounded amused replying, “Erm no I haven’t sent you anything, considering you dropped me off at home a couple of hours ago and I’m still fine. Are you alright? You sound a bit stressed?” “Yeah I’m good, don't worry about me, I'll ring again soon, bye.” Stone went back to his desk, retrieved the bottle and card, asked Det Alan to follow, then went to Lt Clark explaining what just happened, “I told you there was something about that Sam I didn’t like, I think this is from her,” now showing the Lieutenant what was in his hands.
Lt Clark told them, “Right it’s late, let’s call it a night and get this sorted tomorrow, I’ll go and put this in evidence just as a precaution, now go gentleman enjoy the rest of your night.”
CHAPTER THREE….
On his way home in the car Mark noticed the clouds rolling in, hoping to get home before the rain started. He was lucky just as he closed the front door the heavens opened. The rain was bouncing on the roof, the noise was deafening, he went to get a bottle of beer from the fridge when he heard a loud knocking on his front door. After what happened today Mark was on edge, so he picked up his gun and slowly opened the door only to find Jess standing there soaked through and shivering, putting his gun behind his back Mark asked “How did you know where I live, what are you doing here, are you ok?” “Sorry I shouldn't have come, sorry erm I’ll go” Jess replied walking away feeling awkward and embarrassed. Mark felt really bad and shouted for her to come back, “No it’s me who should be sorry, come on in it’s pouring, let’s get you dry and warmed up.” Jess reluctantly walked in and instantly felt the warmth as she stood beside the fire. “Here let me take your coat, you can sit here” pointing to his chair which was the nearest to the fire, “Here there’s a towel, would you like a drink, something hot maybe?” Now sitting by the fire Jess said “I’ll have whatever you're having thanks.” When Mark came back with a beer he noticed again just how beautiful Jess was, her skin glowed against the flickering flames, and her eyes were shining bright as she looked up taking her drink from Mark, their fingertips touched, only briefly but just enough to send a wave of desire course throughout his body.
Jess knew she wanted him as soon as she saw him in the hospital, she couldn’t help but notice his lovely smile, his strong arms, and how she wanted to be held in those arms, Jess wondered if she was staring too long because Marked asked if everything was ok, Jess blushed and quickly looked at the fire.
Mark sat on the floor with his back leaning against her armchair, his arm touching Jess’s slender calf, she smelt so sweet, he was thinking how much he wanted her, Jess slid down off the chair and sat on the floor beside him, she looked into his eyes, Mark could feel the yearning between them before he could do anything Jess took his head in her small hands, leaned in and kissed is wanting lips. He pulled away, taking her hands in his, asking, “Are you sure you want this?” She whispered, “Yes.” Mark stands up pulling Jess up with him as he is going to go to the bedroom but before he could Jess stops him and says "Let's do it beside the warm fire.”
Mark leans forward, their lips touch sending a rush of excitement racing around his body, Mark feels a throbbing between his legs as their tongues meet, entwining with one and another, Jess pushes her breasts up close as Mark holds her tight, his hand slides round her waist finding the zip, tugging it down, Jess’s pulls her skirt off to the floor exposing her slender legs, he grips her firm ass cheeks, squeezing hard, Jess moans she’s twitching so much, her panties moist with excitement. Jess trails her fingernails down Mark’s muscular chest, towards the waistband of his trousers feeling her way to the front taking a step back she begins unbuttoning them, Jess starts sliding his trousers down Mark’s legs lowering herself onto her knees never taking her eyes off his. Mark pushes them away with his feet holding onto her hair as she places his big throbbing cock to her lips. Jess begins to flick her tongue fast around the top then she pushes him into her mouth, slowly at first, her tongue swirling round his hard throbbing shaft, Mark is moaning loud as he pushes Jess’s head closer, allowing his cock to go in deeper. Jess starts sucking hard and fast as she’s rubbing hard with the grip of her hand. Mark is leaning back, his heart is pounding fast, he looks down at Jess whose eyes are now closed. Mark’s cock is throbbing and twitching furiously with her touch, he doesn’t want to cum not yet, the ecstasy he feels, the excitement was too much for Mark to cope with and without warning he exploded in Jess’s mouth, his spunk dripped out over her full lips, Jess looks up smiling as she’s licking it up back into her mouth then swallows hard taking it all down. Mark still felt excited especially after watching her swallow his cum. Mark wanted Jess so much, wanted his tongue to feel inside her wet pussy but he knew he’d have to wait, wait until Jess was ready.
They sat on the floor staying warm in front of the fire listening to the rain hitting the roof, enjoying their drinks, relaxing, touching one another tenderly. Mark’s gliding his fingers on Jess’s leg, just above the knee first then slowly making his way higher, gradually little by little slipping his hand between her thighs, Jess discreetly opened her legs, not wide at first, making Mark work for his pleasure, Jess smiles as he moved her legs wider, slides his hand higher, touching the outside of her panties. Her body tenses up with anticipation, her pussy starts violently twitching, she can feel herself becoming so horney as Mark moves his hand up round to the top of her lacy panties and carefully pulls them down along her legs, moving her feet out then tossing them to one side. Mark moves in, between her legs, lowering his head, parting her wet lips, his tongue wanting her, wanting to feel inside, wanting to taste. Jess is squirming with desire, needing to feel his tongue. Maks moves closer, Jess can feel his hot breath against her pussy as he takes her, his tongue swirling around inside, Jess grips onto the rug demanding more, lusting him to go deep, needing him to flick his tongue against her clit, and when he does Jess screamed with the erotic thrill, still squirming with joy Mark grabs her under the knees, pulls her closer, pushes in deeper causing Jess to cum, squirting out around Mark’s face as he pulls his face away and plunges his fingers in deep in and out hard and fast over and over again, Jess can’t take anymore she’s screams, “Fuck yes!” as she has the most amazing orgasin, cuming over and over again, she pushes his hand away, Jess’s body is quivering, she shaking, “Oh my god that was amazing” as her pussy still twitches with the aftermath, they sit now side by side, not talking, Jess can’t, she’s trying to get her breath back, Mark takes a drink as Jess excuses herself to the bathroom.
Mark makes his way to the bedroom passing Jess on the way, he asks “I’d love it if you would like to stay the night?” With a shy smile on her face, Jess said, “That would be nice.” Mark took her by the hand and walked them both into the room, just as they lay down they could hear the faint rumble of thunder in the distance, and soon after they fell asleep.
Now in a deep sleep, dreaming of his hand gliding up and down the long silky legs wrapped around his waist, as he kisses her big voluptuous breasts. Mark is feeling so aroused he begins moaning as he feels his throbbing cock slip inside her wet lips between those legs, he’s just about to push in deep when he opens his eyes realising it was Jess lying beside him, he smiles but deep down Mark was so disappointed, he was having a wet dream but it wasn’t with Jess, Mark was dreaming of Diamond.
CHAPTER FOUR….
Mark woke up to four withheld missed calls on his cell phone, he had no idea who they were from so just put them out of his head for now, the sun was streaking through the curtains across Jess’s skin making her glow, he quietly got up, took a shower and brought them both coffees into the bedroom. Jess stirs with the smell of coffee flowing past her face. As she sits up Mark said, “Good morning sleepy, I’ve brought you coffee, how did you sleep?” Jess replied, “Morning, thanks for the drink, what time is it?” as she rubbed her eyes “It’s 7 am, do you need to rush off?” “Yes I better go home and get changed,” Jess was ready to leave a short time later and went their separate ways but as Mark closed the front door behind him he noticed a couple of sweet wrappers, not giving it another thought where they came from he picked them up and just put them in his pocket and continued going to work.
By the time Stone arrived at work, Det Alan had already interviewed one of the kidnappers, the one called Chuck but he got no helpful information out of him all the man would say was, “You can keep me here as long as you want, I’m telling you nothing, you're just wasting your time, now take me to jail.” Alan asked Stone if he wanted to interview the other one adding “I got nothing, maybe you can,” but before Stone could Lt Clark came out of his office telling them “Sam doesn’t want to press charges and because Jess didn’t see their faces she can’t identify them which means basically we now have nothing, so we have to release them, I sorry my hands are tied.”
Both detectives were so mad but had no choice. After the two men were gone Stone and Alan decided to go out for lunch, they went to the nearest bar, ordered food and discussed the case, not understanding why Sam would change her mind, when Stone's cell phone beeped, he pulled his it out of his pocket not releasing the sweet wrappers fell out too. Stone was staring at his phone, confused at what he was looking at, Alan asked, “What’s wrong, looks like you’ve seen a ghost?” Stone looked at Alan showing his phone, there was a message, it was a photo of him last night with Jess at his front door, Stone explained when this was take then saw the wrappers had fallen onto the floor, as he picked them up Stone added, “I found these at my front door this morning, I forgot all about them, what the hell’s going on?” Now getting worried Stone rang Jess “Hi, where are you, are you alright? Sam said she’s dropped the charges against the kidnapping, did you know about this? Have you seen her today?” Jess replied, “Yes I’m fine but no I had no idea about this, I haven’t seen or heard from her today, Is everything ok?” “Yeah I was just checking in, that’s all, I’ll ring you back later, bye.” After he finished his call, Stone and Alan changed their order to take out then went back to the station to let Lt Clark know, showing him the sweet wrappers the Lieutenant put them in an evidence bag and commented, “I’ll get these sent off, see if we can get anything off them, go finish up on your paperwork and go home, it’s a quiet day make the most of this downtime.”
Stone stopped off at a department store and decided to buy some security cameras, he didn’t like being spied on, especially at his own home. Looking at the instructions he knew exactly who to ring for help, so he rang Ron and explained everything, Ron said, “Wow this isn't good, I’ll be round as soon I finish here so hang tight.” After Ron had finished installing the cameras they sat on the porch having a few beers, talking about football, cars, and of course girls. Ron told Stone, “I’m going to ask Alice to marry me, I’ve never been this happy.” “That’s brilliant news congrats mate, so when you popping the question?” They clink bottles and toast to his happiness, Ron continued, “In a couple of days, I’m going to do it at Diamonds, obviously it’s going to be a surprise even Diamond doesn’t know, I hope you will come and bring that lass you're hooking up with now, what’s her name, Jess isn’t it?” “Ok that sounds good, just ring me on the day so I wont forget.” Mark decided not to mention his dream about Diamond to Ron, he knew Ron would say something along the lines of, ‘must be fate or you two are meant to be together.’ They sat talking for a little longer. It was late when Ron left, Stone went straight to bed, he was so tired and slept straight through the night.
The loud buzzing of his alarm clock woke Stone up, he was so tired, Stone bashed it to stop but the buzzing kept going, he hit the clock again, still the buzzing went on, by now Stone was getting annoyed, he sat up shouting, “What the fuck? Where that fucking noise coming from?” Getting out of bed Stone walked around looking for where the noise was coming from, and there it was, the alarm on his oven, turning it off he suddenly thought “I’ve never even used this before, how is it going off now?” A wave of nerves passed over his body releasing he hadn't turned on his new house alarm. Someone must have been in here, but when?
This was starting to annoy him now, pissing him off. He got ready for work making sure his cameras were all working and checking all the windows were locked before he left. Now with the memory of what happened to Diamond and her car, Stone walked around the outside of his, checking it before he got in and drove off, and now not in the best of moods.
As soon as he walked through the doors everyone noticed Stone's demeanour and it wasn’t good, he marched straight to Lt Clark's office and explained about the alarm. Lt Clark had made a file of everything that’s happened and told Stone to do the same then told Det Stone, “Right you're on desk duty for the next couple of days, don’t fight me on this, ok?”
CHAPTER FIVE….
Stone rang Jess and asked her out for a drink but she suggested that they get a takeout at hers instead, Stone agreed and said “Great I’ll be round after work, is 7 alright?” “See you then.”
Stone turned his cell phone on silent so as not to be disturbed then knocked on Jess’s front door waiting nervously, wondering what the night may hold, the door opened, Stone looked at the beauty standing in front of him. Jess was wearing shorts and a tight tee shirt, showing off her curves and long slender legs, he felt a rush of excitement making its way down between his legs. “Hello handsome, come on in, make yourself at home Det Stone,” moving to one side he walked in, her sweet scent filled his nostrils as he passed by. Jess closed the door behind him, Stone turned round saying, “Call me Mark, I’m off duty” then grabbed Jess by her waist, pulled her close, and passionately kissed her sweet lips. Jess eventually replied, “Ok Mark.”
There was a knock on the door making the pair jump, Jess laughing as she saw how worried Mark looked, “What’s wrong with you, it’s just the food, who else would it be?” Not knowing yet what Mark’s been going through. Jess opened the door and there she was, the lady with their takeout food. Mark paid her while Jess took the food to the kitchen, setting it out on the counter. As they ate their food Mark mentioned the things that had been happening to him over the last week or so. To his surprise Jess told him, “That’s weird because I’ve had a feeling that I’m being watched, followed even but when I look around there’s nobody there, I just thought I was being paranoid but now I’m not so sure. Could it be the two kidnappers?” “No I don’t think so, I think it’s someone else. Let's change the subject and enjoy our evening.”
They took their wine over to the sofa and settled in for the night cuddling up.
Jess lifted herself over onto his knees straddling his legs, she started kissing Mark’s neck, she pushed his tee shirt up over his head then began lowering herself down his bare chest kissing, feeling the ripples of his muscles, his skin smelling fresh, she wanted him so much. Jess is twitching, she getting wet inside her panties, she can feel the throbbing under Mark’s trousers, knowing he's getting turned on, Jess begins to undo his belt, moving her hand between her legs, touching his bulge, squeezing hard, making Mark’s body tense up with the arousing feeling.
Mark lifts Jess and helps her remove his trousers and shorts, he sits back down, pulls down Jess’s shorts then slowly and tenderly kisses her silky stomach while sliding her panties to the floor, his face is so close to her naked pussy remembering how good she tasted last time, leaning in he kisses it, quickly slipping his tongue in, playing with her clit, Jess moans loud her pussy is twitching as he plunges it deeper, Jess can feel herself quiver with excitement but he stops, Mark wants his dick inside her pussy so he pulls her back over his knees. Jess rubs Mark’s big hard swollen dick, Mark begins moaning with excitement as Jess takes hold of his dick, places it at the opening of her wet pussy, slowly opening up her wet lips, she slides all the way down his shaft, feeling the throbbing as she sits deep, allowing his dick to feel every millimeter of the moist warmth inside. The erotic sensation causes Jess to groan with the pain but that just turns her on even more, she starts riding his dick, slow and deep up and down, leaning in closer, resting her hands on his shoulders, Jess arches her back, flicks her long hair over her shoulders and pushes her bouncing breasts in Mark's face, he grabs them, squeezes, starts sucking her nipples. They're now in the thrill of passion, she takes hold of the back of the sofa, Jess starts riding his dick harder and faster pushing him in deep, she screaming, and moaning, Mark slaps her ass cheeks hard causing a hot burning sensation turning Jess on even more. Her juices are squelching, running down Mark’s dick. They can feel the heat of the fire beside them making their bodies drip with sweat as she’s fucking him. Mark shouts, “Fuck yes, go faster” he holds onto her waist thrusting his huge dick up all the way deep inside her wet juicy pussy, their bodies moving as one, moaning loud with the ecstasy, with Mark pushing up in deep and fast, Jess bouncing on top taking him in all the way, making Jess breathless with anticipation, her pussy feeling electrifying, she knows she’s about to have an orgasmic orgasm, Jess is twitching, she can feel his dick pulsing deep inside, then out of know where Jess felt the explosion, Mark shoots his load up her soaking wet pussy. Jess slows down, she can feel him as he pushes it all in, pushes it all up, the sensation was amazing as Jess squirts her cum just after him, the noise of their juices squelching together, mixing with one another, she leans in for a kiss, their tongues wrapped around each other, Mark squeezing, gripping hard onto her ass. Jess still sitting on his dick, panting fast, she lifts herself up and moves to sit beside Mark as they catch their breaths.
The time passed quickly, Jess asked Mark if he wanted to stay the night in which he agreed, he realised his phone was flashing telling him he has an unread message, then as he pressed the screen on to his surprise he had 8 missed calls from a withheld number, the same as the other day except this time there was a voice message, not wanting Jess to hear it in case it was a work call Mark took the phone in the kitchen and played the message, he listened waiting to hear a voice but there was nothing, only the noise of a train going by in the background, the call lasted 5 minutes then just ended. Mark was annoyed more than anything but wasn’t going to let it spoil the rest of his night. He walked into the bedroom where Jess was already lying naked waiting for him to join her in bed. Mark lay on his back next to Jess, she put her head on his chest and drifted off to sleep feeling safe in his arms.
Mark woke up looking at Jess sitting on the bottom of her bed crying, “What’s wrong, has something happened, have I done something wrong?” Mark asked, getting concerned. Jess turned round and showed him her phone, he was shocked when he read the text message, it was from her friend Sam saying in all capital letters “STAY AWAY FROM DET STONE I TOLD YOU HES MINE AND DONT YOU FORGET!!!!” They're both sitting there in silence. Mark held on to Jess telling her, “Don’t worry I sort this out, has she done anything like this before?” Jess nodded, “A long time ago she fell instantly in love with a lad at college, he already had a girlfriend but she just didn’t care, she followed them everywhere, Sam got so jealous the girlfriend left the compass one day and we didn’t see her again, I think she just had enough and had to get away. I thought she changed, I don’t know what to say to her. Don’t say anything not yet anyway, let me see if I can sort this shit out.”
Stone arrived at the station, he noticed everyone busy, running around looking concerned, he found Alan in the boss’s office, Stone was just about to knock on his door but was waved in. “Where the bloody hell have you been, we’ve been trying to call you but it goes straight to your voicemail. You won’t believe what’s happened now?” Alan shouted looking worried, “What do you mean what’s happened?” His boss told Stone to sit down while Alan continued, “One of the kidnappers, the one called Ted, well he’s been found dead, looks like he’s jumped off the cliff over at the park.” Det Stone sat in stunned silence trying to take in the news suddenly asking, “Did he jump or was he pushed, plus were there any witnesses? I bet there wasn’t, it’s a quiet spot and really only locals know how to get up there.” Det Stone had their undivided attention, and both men looked puzzled as to why he’d ask a question like that. “The reason I ask is that if I wanted to kill myself I’d pick a higher cliff to jump off, don’t you think that cliff’s a bit low, wouldn’t you think he’d pick something higher, I know I would?” The lieutenant stood up, “Well you two better go and see the medical examiner, she may have found something by now.”
Stone and Alan grabbed their coffees on their way out, Stone suggested they take Alan's car adding “We need to talk, something else has happened.”
The traffic was backed up with roadworks so as they sat there waiting Stone told Alan about Jess and about the text message she received from Sam this morning, “Jess also told me about a girl who went missing at college after this Sam forced her way into their relationship, apparently she became obsessed this the lad, Jess isn’t sure what happened after the girl went missing, she left college that year and moved away.” Alan responded, “I think we need to do a background check on this Sam, see if there is anything else we should know about her.”
Alan was getting impatient sitting in the traffic jam “This is bullshit, there’s way too many road works in town,” Stone laughed “Calm down, look” he pointed as eventually the traffic started moving, slowly but moving, “About fucking time.” Alan put his foot down on the gas sped off to make up lost time. Now at the examiner's office, they asked to see who was in charge of Ted White’s autopsy, the receptionist asked them to take a seat while she went to get the doctor. A few minutes later Doctor Kriss Hope walked through the double doors to greet them, shaking their hands. The doctor invited them into her office to go through her findings.
Det Stone told the examiner his concerns about the situation and needed to know if she thought it was suicide or if she thought he was pushed. Dr. Kriss Hope read the toxicology test results saying, “He did have a lot of alcohol in his blood work, the thing that caught my eye was the amount of cocaine, he had enough in him to kill three people, there are a few track marks on his right arm but it looks like this dose was on his left arm, you can see in this photo there was a lot of bruising around the needle mark, so I would find out if he’s right or left handed cause you only put it in your left arm if your right handed, but I think he was lefty. There was also some skin under his nails, I’ve taken them off to hopefully get DNA. The results should come back in a couple of days.” Looking up from her desk Dr. Hope continued, “Also he still had his wallet on him with his ID and $20 cash. In my opinion, I would say Ted White was pushed but I need to wait for the DNA results of the skin to tell you who it’s from. I’ll email you all the paperwork and I’ll tell you when the DNA results come in.”
Det Stone and Det Alan stood up shook her hand and thanked the Doctor with Alan saying, “If we need anything else I’ll call you, is that ok with you?” Dr Hope nodded as she showed them out. Back in the car, Stone looked at Alan smiling and mockingly saying, “I’ll call you if that's ok” “Shut up I was only being nice,” Alan replied feeling embarrassed.
Now back at the station Stone began a background check on Sam and to no surprise to Stone she did have a criminal record for stalking, blackmailing and causing damage to property to three other women but never went away for then as she would convince the court that she would go to counselling for help, which she only went once and pretending she was all good. Turns out that Sam is also a very good manipulator. Det Stone and Det Alan went to the boss explaining their misgivings about Sam and her background, adding, “I think we need to bring Sam in, I think she has some explaining to do.” They put a call out to the officers to look out for Miss Samantha Knox, white, 34. Now they waited and hoped it wouldn’t take long.
CHAPTER SIX….
When Sam was a young child she was a daddy's girl, they went inseparable going everywhere together, if you saw one then you knew the other one would be close by. Sam thought the world of him, her life was wonderful or so she thought until, one day after celebrating her 13th birthday and without telling anyone, her father walked out and never returned home leaving Sam alone with only her mother. For years Sam was depressed wondering what she’d done wrong, didn’t he not love her anymore, the next few years were especially hard on her, some of the kids at school made fun and when the parents came to pick up their children she could see the look of pity and them feeling sorry for her, the anger and the resentment grew inside Sam started blaming her mother for him leaving, wondering why she didn’t do something to stop him, until a few years later she found out from a school friend he actually left to be with another woman.
She remembered seeing him one day walking along the street on the other side of the road with another woman and two little girls. Sam was mad, that should have been her walking along the street with her dad, she wasn’t sure if he’d seen her or not. Sam wanted to shout over but instead, she just stood in shock, watching at how happy they all looked.
The anger Sam felt was overwhelming, for years she carried it with her. When Sam got old enough to date she always ended up pushing the boys away by causing an argument or accusing them of something even though she knew they hadn’t done anything wrong, every one of them even to this day, she was always so jealous of her friends having relationships so Sam would try and destroy them because in her mind if she can’t have a boyfriend why should they. Sam didn’t like being like this but no matter how hard she tried the anger would always surface knowing that they’ll leave eventually.
Sam started smoking and taking drugs at an early age, her mother couldn’t control her anymore, and she was always getting into trouble for shoplifting or selling weed, by the time Sam was 19 years old she already had a criminal record for stalking and property damage regarding a fellow student, she wasn’t proud of her behaviour and knew she needed a change.
After a lot of soul searching she decided to leave college and move out of town to try and get herself sorted and for a new start. She got herself a new place to live, it was only small but Sam didn’t care, she also got a new job in lady's fashion that paid well and which she enjoyed.
A few years passed when one day she bumped into Jess, an old school friend, really her only school friend. After a few weeks of meeting up, they decided Jess should share Sam's apartment and live together. It was a bit small for two people but they made it work and the two girls lived like that for around five years. They enjoyed the same things such as music, films and going out having a good time but then Jess got a new job it was a promotion with the same firm, the money was extensively better but it was in the next town, over time the travelling was getting too much of Jess, driving around an hour each way everyday, so she decided to find a new small place to live nearer work which really upset Sam, she’s now thinking someone else has left me yet again but she made sure she stayed in Jesse's life as she had no one else and missed her so much.
After Jess moved out Sam would go to the local bar just about every night, she eventually met two guys called Chuck and Ted, they would just sit and get drunk, then after a few weeks, Sam suggested they all go back to hers and party with cocaine. This now became normal for Sam, the drinking and drugs. Sam was starting to realise her life was going in the wrong direction again and if she didn’t sort herself out she was going to lose her job, the problem was that she missed Jess so much and wanted her back into her life again, so one drunk and drug-filled night Sam came up with a plan to get Jess back once more but she needed the help of Chuck and Ted.
Sam invited Chuck and Ted over one night, applied them with booze, and just when she thought they were in the right frame of mind told them of her plan and asked for their help.
Even though they were really drunk Ted couldn’t believe what he was hearing and Chuck thought she was just kidding around until she offered to pay them, that's when they realised Sam was being serious. “How much you offering?” Chuck asked out of curiosity, Sam replied, “I don’t know, how about two grand?” “What each, I’ll do it for two grand each, what you thinking Ted, you in or what?” “Yeah I suppose so but you promise no one will get hurt, we’re only going to frighten her, right, and she’ll never know it’s us, I‘m not going down for this?”
Sam went over her plan, “Jess and me will be at the bar having a drink, I’ll pretend not to know you both and same goes for you two, Jess won’t want anything to do with you but that’s just how she is, then I’ll get her attention and when she’s not looking you slip her this drug into her drink, it should take a few minutes to work, when she drowsy walk her to your van and if anyone says anything to you just say she’s drunk and your her boyfriend taking her home, I’ll be with you so it’s all good then when I’m in the van I’ll fake it like I’ve been drugged too, we’ll take her to the old hospital, tie her loosely to a bed and leave her there, we will let her think she’s escaped for her to get me rescued. You two should be well gone by then so no one will ever see you and Jess won’t remember what you two look like because of the drugs. When I get rescued I’ll pay you a couple of days later, any questions?” “Yeah, a few like when do you want this to go ahead? If you screw us I will tell the cops everything.” Chuck replied. Sam continued, “I’ll make arrangements to meet Jess in a couple of days, I’ll ring you where and when, I hope your good actors remember we don’t know each other.”
Sam went to work the next day, she’s nervous about her plan hoping them two didn’t mess it up, she knew it had to happen soon so that night after work Sam rang Jess and asked her if she wanted a girls night out on Saturday night, Jess hadn't been out for a while so she agreed and they made arrangements to meet at 7 pm on Saturday.
Sam rang Chuck and gave him the day, place, and time. “Don’t mess this up or you won’t get paid,” it was just a waiting game now, waiting for Saturday night.
Saturday night arrived the two girls were sitting and talking but Jess could see Sam was a bit distracted, always looking around as if she was looking for someone, Jess asked if everything was alright Sam replied, “Yes silly, why are you asking me that?” “Well because it looks like you're looking for someone, have you planned for us to meet up with anyone?” Sam said to Jess “It’s just us two tonight girlfriend, now let's get another drink,” and with that, Sam went to the bar, while she was away two men came up and started talking to her Sam came back and that's when her plan went into action.
CHAPTER SEVEN….
All of a sudden Mark woke up at 3.30 in the morning, it was dark and silent throughout the house. Feeling uneasy not knowing what woke him, he sat up in bed listening for a noise but he could only hear his heartbeat. After a few seconds Mark heard the noise again, now sweating and scared he grabbed his gun knowing someone was in his house. Is it her? Could it be Sam? Mark didn’t know. He quietly picked up his gun, walked out the bedroom, switching on the lights, walking forward making sure his back was up tight against the wall, turning quickly, scanning left then right in every room, his breathing was erratic. If he called for backup and one was there they’d think he was crazy. He realised there was a fan on, that must be what woke him up, still on edge Mark couldn’t go back to bed so he put his gun away, sat and watched the TV, Mark must have dozed off.
The ringing of the phone was loud, startling Mark awake, he looked at the clock, it was now 8 am, shit he thought to himself, he was late for work, answering the phone he heard someone laughing, It was Det Alan, “Have I woke you up?” Mark explained about his night and told Det Alan that he wouldn’t be long.
Stone stood at his front door, the uneasy feeling of last night, not knowing if he did actually hear someone in his house of if his imagination was getting the best of him, scanning the area around his garden before turning his alarm on, locking his door and leaving for work not knowing what surprises are waiting for him today.
All was quiet as Stone walked into the station, he went to his floor and opened the door realising it was very calm and quiet there too, he sensed something was wrong, he looked for Det Alan, couldn’t see him anywhere, then just before he was about to ask someone, Det Stone saw Det Alan coming out of the tea room on his cell phone. Det Alan looked up, waved Stone over and said, “You're not going to believe this, Chuck heard about Ted and has come in to make a statement, you coming?” “Hell yes let's go.”
Det Alan and Det Stone sat down at the table across from Chuck. Alan started first, “Right here's your drink you asked for, can you start from the beginning and don’t leave anything out, so what do you know?”
Chuck took a big drink, sat back in his chair and told both detectives all about Sam, stating. “That Sam, she’s got a screw loose, Ted and me met her at the bar we would have drinks and take a bit of weed, you know stuff like that, then one night she invited us to party at her’s and obviously we said hell yeah, so after some more weed and drink she asked us to kidnap her friend Jess and pretend she was took too, the crazy bitch said she’d pay us two grand and that no one would know it was us and that no one would get hurt, she just wanted that Jess lass back to being her bestie again, it's all she’d talk about then, the other day Ted asked her for our money she said she would give it to him on the day he was found dead, so I’m now thinking she doesn’t have the money and she pushed him off the cliff, and by the way all she talks about is you Detective Stone and how you will be her’s, she’s not even bothered about Jess now, she’s just interested in you,” now pointing at Stone. “Why do you think he was pushed and he didn’t jump?” Stone asked, “Ted hated heights, he wouldn’t have gone up there not on his own, never mind standing on the edge of a cliff, his nerves wouldn’t let him, the only way he would be up there is if was high or someone took him, someone like Sam promising him the money. I know I sound paranoid about all this but you really need to believe me, I’m scared, what if she comes after me next, like I said she’s a crazy bitch.”
The two detectives sat there in silence taking in everything Chuck had just told them, Stone said “Right sit tight we’ll be back soon, is there anything else you need, it’s nearly lunchtime?” Chuck smiled and answered, “Take as long as you like. I know I’m safe here and a sandwich would be great, thanks.”
Back at his desk Stone asked if the background check had come in on Sam, Alan said he’s sorting it out now and shouldn’t be too much longer. “We need to know the name and what happened to that college student that went missing, hopefully she’s ok.” Stone’s cell phone rang, he looked at the caller ID before answering and to his relief it was his friend Ron, answering it Stone said, “Hey what’s happening?” “I’m just making sure you haven't forgotten about going to Diamonds for my surprise tonight and bring Jess along too, I think the two of you need a good night out, see you around 8.” After Stone confirmed he was coming he rang Jess to invite her, she was a little shy about going but Stone insisted saying, “Ron’s looking forward to meeting you, I’ll pick you up about 7.45, see you soon, bye.”
The background check came back on Sam, it wasn’t a good read, she’s been in alot of trouble about stalking and drugs but what Stone really wanted to find out was about the girl from college. There was nothing about her so Det Alan just decided to ring the college up and ask someone there. After being on the phone for a while Alan explained to Stone, “The girl Claire who went missing, well she’s ok, what happened was she was just getting so fed up with the harassment from Sam, so she walked out of class one day leaving a note in her locker for someone to eventually to find stating she had been offered a job far away and that she’s alright and not to tell her ex boyfriend or her stalker Sam, Claire just wanted a fresh start. Alan also said, “The head of the school rang Claire's parents to make sure she was telling the truth and they both said yes, I have their phone number if you want to give them a call.” Stone felt a rush of relief knowing Claire was ok and hadn’t been harmed by Sam, but now they had to sort out Chuck who was still in the interview room waiting for them.
Det Stone was still pissed that Chuck had gone through with the plan to kidnap Jess, so he told him he was keeping him in overnight while he decides whether to charge him, Chuck was rather happy being kept in, he knew Sam couldn’t get to him in here and thanked Stone for locking him up.
CHAPTER EIGHT….
Ron was getting nervous, it’s Alice's night off and she wants to look her best for her very rare night out so they’re now running late, opening the club doors Ron noticed everyone was already sitting at a table, they walked over and joined them, everyone is laughing, drinking and talking having a good time the atmosphere felt electrifying, except for Diamond, she was working tonight. Ron wanted his friend Diamond there when he asked Alice to marry him, he looked around and eventually saw her sitting in a dark corner of the club. Ron went over and asked, “What you doing sitting here? Why you not over there with the rest of them?” He took her by the hand but felt resistance. Ron looked at her asking, “What’s wrong, are you ok?” Diamond answered, “I’m fine Ron I just don’t feel like sitting there like a third wheel, you know, and well truth be told I haven’t seen Mark for a while, and how he’s with someone else, I’ll come over when the time is right,” and walked away feeling sad, deep down she wished her and Mark would have been together, she looked over her shoulder as she walked away and noticed Mark watching her. Mark forgot how good looking Diamond was and when he saw her, all his feelings of his dream came flooding back. Mark smiled just as Diamond turned back and walked off, he wanted to get up and follow her but he felt a squeeze on his leg, it was Jess. Mark wondered if she saw the way he looked at Diamond, looking back at Jess Mark smiled and carried on talking, laughing and drinking.
The club was getting busy, with the club band playing and the drinks flowing Ron stood up, cleared his throat, went down on one knee, looked at Alice to pop the question, “Alice you are the love of my life, you make me so happy so would you do the honour if being my wife and marry me?” There was silence while Alice took in what Ron had just asked, everyone holding their breath waiting for an answer, Ron thought his heart was going to burst out his chest waiting for so long until Alice shouted, “Yes, yes,yes I’ll marry you!!” Ron stood up, placed the ring on her finger and took Alice in his arms for the best hug ever, he looked over and saw Diamond watching, smiling and raising her glass towards them mouthing congratulations, everyone at the table started clapping with happiness. Mark was so happy for his friend standing up and giving him a manly hug saying, “Good for you I’m really happy, I’ll go and get some more drinks,” knowing full well who is standing over there in a dark corner watching.
Mark wanted so much to talk to Diamond but as he got close she walked away so he ordered the drinks and as he turned round to go back to the table, he saw someone watching, his stomach turned when he realised it was Sam, he couldn’t mistake those cold emerald green eyes staring straight at him. He hurriedly walked back to the table, put the drinks down, turned to see if it was really her but there was no one, searching the room looking all over, he went to the restroom to calm himself, and when he walked out Mark bumped straight into Diamond. The smell of her sweet scent made his legs quiver, Mark lightly grabbed her arm, “Hi, long time no see, how are you? I’ve missed you, why didn’t you answer any of my calls, I’ve missed you Diamond,” he let go of her arm as Diamond replied, “Sorry I’ve just been busy opening this place, I’ve missed you to but looks like your happy with someone else so I’ll just leave you to get back to her,” and then she walked off into her office feeling upset.
Everyone was having a good night enjoying the celebration of the engagement, except for Mark, he couldn’t get Diamond out of his mind, seeing her again brought back all his feelings but he knew it would be too dangerous for him to be with her, not with Sam out there walking the streets. Mark looked at Jess, smiled and tried to enjoy himself but Ron noticed and decided to do something about it just not tonight.
“Last orders please, hurry and get your drinks before we close the bar,” shouted the bartender. Around an hour later people were leaving the club, now outside people were lighting up and having a quick smoke as they were saying their good nights to one another and walking off to their cars. Mark opened his car door to let Jess in, the drive to Jess’s house felt tense and was quiet until she asked, “Is everything alright? You’ve been really quiet.” “I’m just tired so I won’t stay over tonight, I need to get some sleep, I hope that's ok?” But Jess knew it was something else or rather someone else, little did Mark know that Jess saw him and Diamond talking, she knew by their body language there was something between them. So Jess suggested “I’m going to be away to see my parents for a while but when I get back I’ll ring,” leaning across the car she kissed him on the cheek, got out and without turning round closed the front door behind her, she didn’t want Mark to see the tears welling up. Mark sat outside her house wondering if he should knock and ask if she was ok, but just as he was about to his cell phone rang, it was Det Alan “Where are you? Can you get to the station asap?” Confused and tired, Stone said, “I’m tired, can't it wait for tomorrow?” “No you have to get here now” and hung up, annoyed Mark drove to the station.
On the way to the station Mark started thinking about Diamond, and until now didn’t realise how much he missed her. It was now in the early hours of a new day, Mark was so tired all he wanted was his bed and sleep but instead he was driving along the dark road to work.
“I need coffee and plenty of it,” as he swung open the office door feeling really pissed, pointing to Alan saying, “You need to get a life away from this office, bloody hell even ring that Dr. Hope who you couldn’t take your eyes off the other day, now why am I here and not in my warm bed?’ he yelled. Det Alan and Lt Clark were looking worried, he pointed to the coffee pot saying, “You need to pour yourself a big cup, you're going to need it.
The smell of coffee woke Mark up a bit but it was the caffeine that really did the trick, “Will you please tell me why I’m here and what was so important it couldn’t wait until a decent time this morning?” Det Alan replied “It’s Chuck, he was rushed to hospital about an hour ago, he was found at the bottom of the stairs, at the complex where he lives, blood everywhere and he was unconscious, we’ve an officer keeping an eye on him, the problem is he hasn’t woke up yet so we don’t know what happened, it’s not looking good though.” Mark stood there shocked at what he was hearing but then he remembered something, “Erm, I don’t know if I’m being paranoid but I think I saw Sam in the club tonight or last night, I’m confused, I don’t know what day it is now, it was only for a brief glance so I told myself that it wasn’t her, now I’m not so sure. Do you think she’s behind Chuck's fall?” Lt Clark came out of his office “I’ve just been on the phone to the hospital Chuck isn’t going to wake up anytime soon so you two go home get some rest and I’ll see you both around 9 am, now off you go.”
Mark pulled into his driveway, his heart skipped a beat with surprise because sitting on the stairs going up to the house was Diamond. She stood up as Mark got out of the car, he noticed how her long hair flowing over her shoulder in the breeze as they walked to each other. Mark was fiddling with his keys, he was feeling nervous, after seeing Diamond earlier at the club Mark realised how much he’d missed her. “Hi Mark, I just thought I’d come over and apologise about how I treated you earlier, I just didn’t know what to say to you, it’s been so long and then when I saw you with someone else I got slightly jealous, so sorry.” Mark took hold of Diamond’s hands, looked her in the eyes and whispered with hope in his voice “I’ve missed you, would you like to come in, Please?” “Well with you asking so nicely yes I will.” As soon as the front door closed behind them Diamond turned to face Mark and they embraced in a passionate kiss.
CHAPTER NINE….
It was late at night, the streets were dark except for the flickering from the street lights, making the shadows of the buildings dance. Walking back from the club Sam bought more alcohol and went to see her drug dealer to score off him, then decided not to go home, she knew Jess had gone away so Sam headed there knowing nobody will look for her there.
The more Sam drinks and smokes weed the more she is feeling pissed, her plan to get Jess back to be bestfriends again has backfired so much, all she wanted was them two dope heads to pretend to kidnap Jess and her, so Jess would need support from her best friend, but no, they couldn’t even do that right, letting her escape so Jess could tell the police, and where to find them, also Sam hadn't counted on meeting Det Mark Stone. As soon as Sam saw him she knew she had to have him, but she didn’t think he would have gone for plain old Jess, what does she have that I don’t Sam thought, why shouldn’t I get my man.
Sams anger became worse when she spotted Mark in the club with Jess that night, and as she was walking through the dark streets to Jess’s house she started keying cars and setting there alarms off, the destruction of the cars and the noise she's caused made her mood so much lighter, she began laughing and running, away towards Jess’s. By the time Sam arrived she was exhausted thinking, “Good job I have her spare key,” as she unlocked the door and closed it behind her. Sam didn’t turn the lights on, she didn’t want anyone to know she was there, so out of breath Sam crashed on the sofa and fell asleep.
The next morning Sam woke up after having a wonderful dream, her and Mark were happy, living together and planning their wedding and their future children running round the garden with the pet dog. Wanting this to be true she decided to step up her plan which was to win Mark's heart.
When Sam got out of bed she noticed blood on her clothes and shoes, “How did this get on me? Where’s all this blood come from? How much did I drink last night and how the hell did I get here?” Sam was so confused, her head was spinning, “How much did we drink last night, fuck me this is bad,” running to the toilet to be sick. When she composed herself and had some water Sam started remembering things from the night before, just clips, she can remember going to Chuck's flat, taking some smack, drinking loads but after that it went fuzzy, she couldn’t even remember how she got to Jess’s house. Sam removed her bloodied clothes and put them in the washing machine while she took a shower, still feeling weak and with the worst headache ever Sam lay on Jess’s bed, still wrapped in a towel she fell asleep.
Sam woke up a couple of hours later, the towel now on the floor, she felt cold so but some of Jess’s clothes on and went to put hers in the dryer, while Sam was waiting for her clothes she tried ringing Chuck to see how he was but he didn’t pick up so she went and made herself some breakfast, telling herself Jess won’t mind we’re best friends after all.
It’s now early afternoon and Sam still couldn’t get in touch with Chuck so she decided to go and see if he was ok. Keeping to the side streets so less people would see her Sam noticed there were a lot of police cars on the roads, she stood there watching them drive by when she suddenly saw Det Stone drive pass, did he see her, Sam wasn’t sure.
It was then Sam had a change of plan and made a detour to Mark's home not knowing what she would do when she got there. She knew he wouldn’t be home so on her way she walked past a park and picked some flowers to put on his doorstep, then carved into the step with a stone ‘XOXO.’ She walked round the outside of the house looking in all the windows, hoping to catch a glance of what her life would be like if they were a couple. Her heart was beating with joy then on her way out Sam turned round and blew a kiss towards his house feeling happy.
In that moment she remembered she was on her way to visit Chuck to ask why he wasn’t answering her calls, on her way to his she decided to ring again, only this time her call was answered, but not by Chuck by a woman who simply said “Hello.” Sam yelled, “Who’s this answering Chuck’s phone, where is he?” There was a pause. Sam could hear breathing on the other end so she shouted again demanding, “Answer me now?” Then a man came on the phone explaining he was a police officer “Who am I talking to?” Sam didn’t know what to say so she hung up the phone, worried plus confused about what’s going on “OMG what have I done?” Remembering the blood on her clothes not knowing where it came from but now she’s thinking the worst “Have I done something to Chuck? Shit why can’t I remember last night? Sam was panicking, pacing back and forth, hitting herself on the head over and over again, “What do I do, what do I do?” She decided to go back to Jess’s house and hide out there hoping her memory from the night before comes back, and soon.
The sun was going down, she still couldn’t get in touch with Chuck, getting worried Sam turned on the TV, to her shock there were reporters outside the complex Chuck lives, the reporter commented, “A man in his early 20’s had been found covered in blood at the bottom the stairs, the police are treating it as suspicious, if anyone has any information regarding this incident please ring the crime stoppers hotline.” Sam sat there staring at the TV, she couldn’t believe what she just heard, panic set in, shaking not knowing what to do Sam began pacing round Jess’s home, peering out the windows making sure no one was watching the house, it was getting dark but she couldn’t put the lights on, sitting on the sofa keeping an eye on the news, worrying, biting her nails wondering if she should ring Det Stone. Still pacing the floor saying to herself, “Can he be trusted, would he believe me that I can’t remember anything, I want to see him so much, yes he will believe me he’s my rescuer, he’s my hero,” so with that Sam rang his number, her heart was pounding as she listened to the ringing on the other end, after the third ring he still hadn’t answered, Sam was becoming annoyed after the sixth ring she was raging , “Why the hell does he never answer?” At that time his answer service came on, “This is Det Mark Stone, sorry I can’t answer right now but please leave a message, thanks” “Will you answer your fucking god damn phone, I want to talk to you.” With a fit of rage she threw her phone at the mirror, glass shards went flying through the air. Sam stood there watching all the shards fall to the floor, she’s standing hands on hips feeling pissed off. She looked down at her reflection, the reflection of a green eyed monster, the Emerald green eyed monster.
Sam walked to Mark’s house, sat on the steps outside his door and waited.
CHAPTER TEN….
Det Stone was on his way out, he had a date with Diamond but needed to go home first when Det Alan shouted and waved him back in, “Stone wait, we,ve just heard from the hospital, it’s about Chuck, he woke up I’m going over to talk with him, you coming?” Looking at his watch wondering if he’s got time, deciding he did said, “Let's take both cars I need to go straight home after.” On his way Stone rang Diamond left a message saying “Hi beautiful lady, I’m running late, I’ll be at yours as soon as I can, please wait up, it'll be worth it.” Now thinking of what he wants to do to Diamond Stone begins feeling horney, his dick is pulsing under his trousers. Shaking his head trying to think of something else to calm the yearning, Stone turned the radio on and listened to the music playing.
Det Alan was waiting by his car when Stone pulled up, they walked up to the floor where Chuck was staying when they bumped into the doctor who tells them, “He’s awake but still groggy with his meds so please be careful or I’ll stop the interview,” then showed them into his room.
Chuck was sitting up in bed, still looking tired, his head was bandaged up and his face was bruised but all in all he looked good. “Hi Chuck, can you tell us what happened?” “I just had too much to drink and fell down the stairs, that’s all.” he replied, but Alan was having none of it continuing “Seriously, do you think we were born yesterday, now come on tell us what really happened and no bullshit?” Thinking hard about what to say Chuck started shaking and said, “Ok, ok I’ll tell you, Sam came over last night, we got into a fight and she pushed me down the stairs, just like Ted, so there you have it, now I’m tired leave me alone.”
While they were leaving the hospital Det Alan suggested to Stone, “I know you have plans for tonight so why don’t you go home and I’ll put an alert out for Sam, I’ll see you in the morning”
Stone accepted the offer and headed home, he was looking forward to his evening with Diamond. It was dark now, pulling up to his house. Stone noticed a dark silhouette standing up from his stairs, he was hoping it was Diamond but to his shock it was Sam.
“What are you doing here, you're under arrest for the murder of Ted White and the attempted murder of Chuck Mathews. Put your hands behind your back. I need to handcuff you.” Sam stood in total shock, she did what was asked but said, “What do you mean murder? Who was killed? I don’t understand, do you think I killed someone? That's stupid, I could never kill anyone, you have to believe me please.” Sam’s legs buckled with fright, she started to collapse to the ground but Stone caught her, their eyes met, Stone noticed the despair in her emerald green eyes, wondering to himself, “Could she be telling the truth?” He gently picked her up and placed Sam in the back of his car, rang Alan and told him he was coming back with Sam.
There was silence on the other end of the phone while Alan took in what Stone said and eventually replied, “Ok then I’ll stay here and wait, where was she by the way?” “Sitting on my doorstep.”
Sam was uncuffed and put into an interview room while the detectives decided what to do next. Stone surprised Alan by saying, “I don’t think she did it, I honestly think she’s innocent, when I arrested her she collapsed. I saw the desperation in her eye’s, and yes, I know what you're going to say but I believe her.” Det Alan took a deep breath, “Really, well let's see then shall we? I think you’ve a soft spot for her, don’t forget all the strange things that’s been happening to you since the interview at the hospital, it only started after that meeting. Personally I think she’s a wack job, but come on let’s see what she has to say.”
They walked back into the interview room, Sam was shaking and in tears, before they even sat down she sobbed, pleading “I haven’t done anything wrong, please believe me I haven’t hurt anyone, the only thing I’ve done was to stage a stupid kidnap but that was just to get Jess’s attention, apart from that I haven’t done anything.” As Stone sat down he asked about what happened to Chuck, “The other night he asked me to go round, he said he had something to tell me, that's all I can remember until I woke up at Jess’s feeling rough, I mean I was really ill, it felt like I had taken drugs but I can’t remember doing any and I had blood on me, I have know idea where it came from so I just washed my clothes not giving it another thought, I tried to get intouch with him the next day but he didn’t answer, so I went round and saw all the cops, I got scared remembering the blood and went back to Jess’s, then I saw the news saying someone had been found at the bottom of some stairs, I just knew it was him, I’ve been a wreck panicking all day that's why I went to yours I needed to see you, I need you to believe me, I’m telling you the truth, I didn’t push anyone down anything.” Sam sat there sobbing so much the detectives asked if she’d like a drink, nodding yes they left for her to compose herself, and also so they could discuss what she just told them.
Word came through to the station that Chuck checked himself out of hospital, the receptionist told an officer that extremely agitated and angry after the two detectives left, he signed his release forms and stormed out.
Det Alan went to the Lieutenant and explained what Sam told them and about Chuck telling him, “I’m sorry but I don’t believe a word Sam said, I”m not sure why but there was just something about her demeanour, we still have nothing concrete on her yet so I think we should let her go, but keep an eye on her.” So later that day Sam was released pending more investigation. Sam was so happy thinking that her saviour came to her rescue again. She waited outside the station wanting to thank Stone in person, it was getting cold, and late then she saw him, he was too far away, Stone left through another door nearer his car, Sam watched him drive away feeling deflated that she missed her chance. She began to walk back to Jess's, however a thought came to her, “I’ll just pop over to Det Stones and thank him in person, he won’t mind.” It took a while for Sam to walk to Stone’s house, when she eventually arrived Sam noticed his car wasn’t parked outside and it looked like no one was home. Cold and tired wondering what to do now Sam sat on his doorstep, she could see the carving she did earlier, not knowing how long Stone would be and feeling disappointed Sam got up and slowly walked back to Jess’s house, remembering the mess she made thinking that Jess wouldn’t be happy if she came home to see that. Sam also didn’t know that Chuck had left the hospital and was not best pleased, she also didn’t spot the car following her, it was Ron, Det Alan had asked him earlier that day if he would do them a favour to keep an eye on Sam and after what Mark told him about the things that had been happening Ron didn’t hesitate to help his friend.
CHAPTER ELEVEN….
It was now late as he pulled up, getting out of his car. Mark saw Diamond standing at her front window, he’s thinking how good she looks standing there with the light behind her, he could already feel movement in his trousers as he approached her front door. Mark didn’t need to knock, Diamond saw him coming and was already opening the door to greet him. “Sorry I’m late,” but before he could say anything more Diamond had up her plump lips to his and kissed them hard. Mark moaned with pleasure as he slipped his tongue into her mouth, feeling for hers, searching, wanting them to connect, to entwine with each other. Mark grabbed Diamond around her waist, pulling her body close to his, squeezed her tight as they passionately kissed by the closed front door.
“Well that was a nice greeting,” Diamond whispered when they broke off, looking into each other's eyes Mark said as he smiled, “I could get used to this coming home every night” nervously laughing Diamond replied, “Could you really, well we just might have to do something about that then.” Holding hands they walked into the lounge room when shyly Diamond asked Mark, “Would you like a drink? I know I want one,” but before she could get to the kitchen Mark followed her, spun Diamond around, swooped her up in his arms and carried her into the bedroom, placing her down gently on the bed. Mark climbed on top placing a hand either side of her head. He kissed her gently on her cheek working his way towards Diamond neck. The heat of his breath against her flesh sends an electrifying sensation all over her skin.
They’re breathing hard, both wanting more. Diamonds hands searching for his zip, wanting desperately to open it, Mark raises his body just enough making it easier for her as she unfastened his button then slides the zip open. Diamond feels how hard he is, she can feel the pulsing, the throbbing, the need for it to escape as she holds the shaft tight, then with an almighty tug he’s released into her seductive grip. Mark takes a deep breath in anticipation, her fingernails ever so lightly trails up and down his swelling dick, Mark is so aroused as he moves his mouth down towards Diamonds heaving chest, one button at a time popping open, until her chest is exposed, her ample breasts wanting to burst out from her white lacy bra as Mark’s tongue traces around her silky skin on the edge of the lace, he takes one hand placing his fingers inside, hunting for the nipple, he finds it and with a rush of blood scoops her heaving breast out of her bra clasping his hands underneath, cradling her breast as he leans in flicking his wet tongue round her nipple, over her nipple, over and over again sending goose bumps around her body, causing Diamond to groan out loud with excitement. She’s twitching between her legs now as she’s stroking his hard dick in her hands, slowly at first but feeling so horny Diamond grips tighter, stroking harder and faster. Their both feeling so aroused Mark stands up, holding on to the waistband of Diamond skirt, he pulls it down to her feet as she moves it out the way, to Marks utter delight Diamond had no underwear on only stockings, he bent down kissing her stomach, swirling his tongue over her soft supple skin until he was just above her groin, Diamond holds her breath, waiting, yearning for what's to come, she’s had to let go of Mark’s dick now. Diamond grips onto the bed sheets as she waits, arching her back now as Mark lowers his head closer to her wet twitching shaven kitty, she opens her long legs wider as his head goes lower, Diamond can feel his hot breath between her thighs, his hair tickles her skin as he gets closer, then she feels it, his wet tongue sliding in, opening up her lips, he pushes it in deeper, feeling around searching for her clit. Diamond’s body tenses up with the most erotic thrill, her body’s quivering, her legs trembling with pure joy as his tongue suddenly finds what it's been looking for. He swirls, flicks and rubs all around the spot, her clit. Diamond gasps out loud as she feels herself cum slightly with his touch, she wants more as she puts her hands on top of Mark’s head pushing him in further. Mark realises how much Diamond’s enjoying this so he slides two fingers in as well causing her to moan loud with shock as he rolls them round inside, while flicking his tongue back and forth. Diamond tightly grips the bed sheets again trying to control herself but the erotic sensation is too much as her legs kick out, Diamond started to scream the feeling is amazing she knows she’s going to cum as Mark rams his fingers in deeper moving them round, he pushes faster in and out while kissing the outside of her soaking wet lips, just as Diamond squirts her juices out onto his face, he pulled his fingers out still rolling them round, turning Diamond on even more. Mark lifts himself back onto the bed between her quivering, long silky legs and plunges his hard throbbing dick straight into her pussy. Diamond is wet, she’s so wet that his dick slides in easy, slides in deep, her juices making a squelching noise, they look at each other, smiling as Mark begins moving his dick in and out harder, faster, their panting, breathing hard as he keeps ramming, Diamond wraps her legs around his waist whilst her fingernails dig in deep as she’s gripping on his flesh, their bodies hot and sweaty. Mark is still grinding his dick hard and fast, Diamond screaming with absolute arousal, she’s so wet, her juices still squelching with the force of his thrusts. Both now are in total utter lust, wanting, needing more the ecstasy overwhelming, Diamond now gripping tight on the sheets she yells, “Fuck me I can’t take much more!” just as Mark explodes his cum right up her pussy, he’s in deep pushing hard with every surge of cum, moaning with pleasure as the sweat drips down his body, he rests on top of Diamond, squashing her breasts against his chest, they kiss as he rolls off and lies next to Diamond on the bed, both breathing hard and fast. Mark turned Diamond’s face to his and whispered, “I've missed you,” “Me too” laughing he replied, “What you’ve missed you too?” Diamond looked at him, smiled and gave his chest a gentle playful slap saying, “Always the funny man” then kissed him on the cheek before rolling over and getting up putting on her robe asking, “Would you like a drink?” Still out of breath Mark smiled and just nodded. By the time Diamond came back with their drinks Mark was fast asleep, so she put his drink down on the bedside table, pulled the sheets over his naked body and climbed into bed next to him drinking her coffee before drifting off herself.
Mark woke up next to Diamond, feeling so happy, he gently kisses the back of her neck, she stirs with his touch and turns round remembering what a brilliant night they had the night before, they kiss, their bodies touch, they still feel the desire of wanting each other just as her morning alarm started buzzing and are snapped back into reality.
CHAPTER TWELVE….
Sitting at his desk going through his notes and the evidence Det Stone and Det Alan begin discussing what to do next, when Alan explains that he had Ron follow Sam the night before and that she went to his house and sat on the doorstep for a while before going to Jess’s where she stayed there all night. This annoyed Mark so much banging his fist on his desk saying, “We need to put a stop to this, she’s stalking me and I don’t like it.” Mark’s phone rang “Detective Stone here, how can I help?” “Hi Detective, it’s the front desk. I have a young man here asking for you, he looks a bit banged up. Should I send him up, he says his name is Chuck?” “Yes, send him straight up please.” Now feeling re-energised once more Mark tells Alan, “Chuck’s here and is wanting to talk to us, plus we need to get Ron in here to make a statement about what and where he saw Sam.”
The two detectives walk into the interview room where Chuck was waiting, “Okay Chuck are you going to tell us everything and not waste our time again?” Det Stone asked as they sat down.
Chuck was shaking so he took a deep breath and began saying, “The other night Sam did come over to mine, she was already drunk and high, I didn’t trust her especially after what happened to Ted so I decided to sneakily record her on my cell phone, we drank some more and had a lot of weed, she looked stoned and that's when I asked her if she had anything to do with Ted, she said she had nothing to do with it but I didn’t believe her so I kept asking until she eventually admitted what happened. She said, Ted rang Sam asking for the money she said she’d give us, Sam was laughing saying how stupid he was for asking, she said they made arrangements to meet and Sam drove them up to the top off the hill, Sam pretended to get drunk with Ted she said, he had no idea she wasn’t drinking and then when he was just about out of it she injected him in the arm with cocaine, and pushed him off the cliff. That bitch called him a little shit, he wasn’t, he was my friend, he didn’t deserve this.” Chuck had tears in his eyes when he continued saying “She also said no one would think it was her because she has a boyfriend in the police department and he will believe everything she tells him, apparently Sam has him wrapped around her little finger.” Stone and Alan sat there in silence until Stone asked, “By any chance did she say who her boyfriend is?” “Nah I think it’s bullshit anyway, who’d go out with her she’s a psycho.”
“So what happened next? Do you remember?” “I got mad, really mad, I stood up grabbed her by the throat and pushed her out my apartment, when she was out the door she punched me in the face, I ended up losing my grip on her and as I turned around from her trying to get back into my place I felt a sharp agonising pain on the back of my head and a pull on my arm, the next thing I remember was waking up in the hospital feeling like shit.”
After thinking for a while Stone eventually said, “We talked to Sam, she says she’s not a killer and that it was you who killed your friend for his share of the money,” Chuck shook his head in disbelief, “I didn’t do that, I wouldn’t he was my friend.” Stone continued, “Sam also mentioned that the only thing she did was to organise the fake kidnap, so now we have two people blaming each other, we're going to discuss this with our boss so sit tight we shouldn’t be long.” Det Alan came back and told Chuck that he could go home or better yet go to a friend's house for a few days until they sort this out, Chuck agreed and gave him his friend's address.
Back at their desks Stone requested the CCTV footage of the surrounding streets beside Chuck’s place hoping to see Sam there. Suddenly Alan turned to Stone and said in a puzzled tone, “Did I miss something in the interviews, you said to Chuck that Sam said he killed Ted, when did she say that?” Laughing now Stone replied, “Oh I just made that up to see his reaction, he was shocked and looked really upset, I think I believe him, what about you, any thoughts?” Alan was just about to agree when Stones' cell phone ran, “Hello Stone here,” a deep women's raspy whisper answered “Hi, sexy how’s your day going?” “Oh it’s you, well it’s going ok, what you up to?” “Thanks for asking, at this moment I'm undoing my buttons on my blouse one at a time, feeling my lacy bra over my breasts, what are you thinking?” Walking away quickly to be on his own, Stone replied in a shocked voice, “What the fuck, you dirty girl, my dick’s twitching now, your turning me on,” whispering back she say’s, “I’m squeezing my breast, rubbing my nipple, god this feels good,” she starts breathing heavy down the phone Mark’s feeling horney, his dick’s getting hard, he puts his hand on it feeling the stirring with his touch, he now hears “I’m moving my hand down my leg, going in between my thighs, I can feel my panties there damp now but this feels so good, ahh, my fingers have slipped under my panties, I can feel the outside of my” but before she could finish her sentence Mark shouted, “Stop, bloody hell I’m at work, don’t do this now,” as he walks as quick as he could to the mens room, Mark looks around making sure he was alone, he goes into a cubicle unzips his trousers and get his hard throbbing dick out, she can hear him breathing faster as she says “My fingers are inside my wet juice pussy, one, two, oh wow, three, ahh that feels good, fuck yeah their going in and out, o’my goodness this is amazing, I think I’m going to cum soon, what about you, what are you doing now, big boy?” Mark was breathing hard and fast, “I’ve got my dick out, you’ve got me so turned on, I’m rubbing it hard and fast, fuck me thats good, tell me more” the whispering got louder, “My fingers are fucking my pussy hard and fast, I’m so fucking horney so turned on, I’m going to cum all over my fingers, are you going to cum soon?” “Fuck yes” Mark moans loud as he bust his load in his hands saying “I’ve just cum, what about you?” But all Mark could hear was heavy panting and groaning as Diamond squirts within her fingers. There was silence for a few seconds while they caught their breaths, until Diamond said, “See you soon lover boy,” and with that she hung up leaving Mark covered in his own cum.
He had to put his cell phone down while he cleaned himself, it took a little time before he could leave the men's room and when he did no one seemed to notice, Mark was so relieved as he walked back to his desk, praying under his breath that he looked normal and not as though he’d just wanked himself over the phone, which he thoroughly enjoyed, but now he had to put it out of his mind, there was work to be done. Det Alan was smiling and looked at him and asked, “Are you ok, you look a bit flushed?” “I’m good, thanks.” “I bet you are,” Alan grinned, mumbling under his breath.
Both detectives are sitting at their desks, when the CCTV footage comes in, they sit watching, waiting to spot Sam outside Chuck’s place, but all Stone could think about was his phone call earlier, then there she was, walking towards Chuck’s complex, Stone commented “She’s swaying and stumbling, looks like she’s drunk,” and then they noticed she presses the out door buzzer to be let in, “Right she’s inside, Chuck must have let her in, now let’s see how long she’s in there, can we fast forward?” Alan fast forwards the footage and around two hours later Sam runs out looking anxious and crying, she’s running away in the direction of Jess’s home, the picture was dark they couldn’t see any blood, so Stone rang their tec unit and asked if the footage could be cleaned and lightened up, they told them it will take a couple of hours so now it was a waiting game. Det Alan asked, “Do we have the DNA results back yet from under Ted’s fingernails and have we found out if he was left or right handed?” They looked for the email and there it was staring them in the face, the DNA was a match. Stone rang Chuck, “Hi Chuck, it’s Detective Stone, I have a quick question for you if that’s ok?” Chuck, sounding groggy, answered, “Yes, what do you need to know?” “Was Ted left or right handed?” There was silence while Chuck was trying to remember, then he eventually said laughing “He was a lefty, yes definitely left, I remember him trying to flick his lighter once with his right hand, it was so funny, he got really annoyed and frustrated he threw it at a wall.” “Brilliant, thanks for that, you look after yourself and we’ll talk soon.”
Det Stone and Det Alan went to talk to Lt Clark, they explained their findings and discussed their next move. Lt Clark suggested Alan to get the DNA double checked with Dr. Kriss Hope and if it’s the same results we will bring Sam in tomorrow.
Alan rang to see if Dr. Hope was still at work and to find out if she could run the test again, she answered, “Hello Detective, yes I’ll be here waiting for you and I'll get the test started for you now, see you soon.” Det Stone asked Alan, “So are you ready to see your lady friend again?” “She is a work colleague and a professional one at that, so behave,” feeling his cheeks blushing Alan made a quick exit, “See you tomorrow” Mark shouted.
Det Alan arrived at Dr. Hopes office, he spotted her working in the lab, Alan saw how lovely she looked with her hair up and how her lab coat hugged her body, Dr. Hope hadn’t noticed Alan watching her as she turned her back to him removing her white coat, as if in slow motion exposing her tight skirt clinging against her curvy arse cheeks, Alan could feel himself becoming aroused and then he watched as her hair dropped from her bun swaying back and forth at the same time, Dr. Hope turned back round facing Alan, she smiled removed her glasses and waved him in. Alan now had a problem, his imagination had run away with him, he was rock hard and he was pulsing under his trousers, how on earth could he walk into her lab with his dick pulsing fast with the erotic feeling. Hope waved him in again so Alan smiled, took his jacket off to put it in front of him and walked in hoping she wouldn’t notice. They walked over to her desk, they sat down next to each other, their legs touched, only for a brief second but that was enough to send a wave of arousal course through his body causing him to start throbbing again. Dr. Hope noticed that he was acting strange but decided not to say anything, not yet anyway, she went through the test results again and said, “I have the same outcome as before and the conclusion implicates the same person from the first test, I hope that helps Detective Alan?” “Please, call me Steve and yes thank you this is very helpful, I’m sorry I kept you late at work, your husband must be wondering where you are?” Now Alan is praying she’s single, holding his breath waiting for a response. “Oh detective, sorry Steve, the only thing waiting for me at home is a microwave dinner, but thanks for asking.” They both stood looking at each other, there was a silence while Alan was deciding if he should ask her out for dinner but before he could ask, Dr. Hope's cell phone rang, she walked away and while she was talking on the phone Alan was thinking how much he would love to kiss those lips. Dr. Hope came back and said she needed to rush off, so Alan took out his hand to shake hers but instead and to his delight Dr. Hope leaned in and gently kissed Alan on the cheek and whispered. “Until next time, Steve, please call me Kriss.”
CHAPTER THIRTEEN….
Det Alan drove home with the thought of Kriss still strong in his mind, he could still feel her breath on his cheek from her whispering voice, but he shook her out of his mind, for now anyway and drove home. Sleep didn’t come easy for him that night as he tossed and turned thinking of Kriss.
The next morning back at work Stone noticed how rough Alan looked commenting, “You look rough, late night I take it?” “Couldn’t sleep that’s all” Alan mumbled while drinking his third cup of coffee of the morning. “What did Dr. Hope have to say about the DNA, did she do a second test?” Feeling a bit red faced, Det Alan replied, “Yes she did and both tests came back as belonging to the same person, there's no doubt, so let's put everything together shall we?”
They stood at the white board putting it all together. The CCTV shows Sam running away from Chuck's the night he was found at the bottom of the stairs. The DNA under Ted’s fingernails and the fact he couldn’t have injected himself in his left arm, Sam also organised the fake kidnap of her friend Jess and she also became fixated with Det Stone. They both went to see Lt Clark, explained their conclusion and said at the same time, “We need to find Sam and bring her in.”
Stone asked everyone, “By the way has anyone seen my cell phone? I know I had it here the other day, I’ve put it down and can’t find it anywhere?” As soon as he asked he suddenly remembered where he left it shouting, “Don’t worry I’ve just remembered.” Running out of the room to the cleaning supervisors office, he knocked on the door and entered, sitting there was an older man, he looked up and asked, “Well hello there young man, how can I help you today?” “Wow young man, I haven’t been called that for a long time. I was wondering if anyone has handed in a cell phone from about two days ago?” The older man stood up, opened a draw and pulled out a phone, holding it up asking, “Do you mean this one? It’s dead now but I believe it’s yours.” “Thank you so much you're a lifesaver,” he took his phone, ran back to his desk so he could charge it up while explaining that he had left it in the gents the other day. Slowly but surely it came to life and the first thing Stone did was to text Diamond, “I’m so sorry, I lost my phone. I haven't been ignoring you, I’m sorry xx.” He then noticed he had 10 missed calls all with voice messages, he put his phone on loud speaker and played the first one, they were all from Sam “Hello it’s me, please answer my calls.” He played the second one, “It’s me again, please answer your phone, I need to see you.” The third one but now sounding a bit annoyed, “Pick up, please, I don’t trust anyone else but you, we’re meant to be together, can’t you see that, I knew as soon as I saw you and you held me in your arms when you rescued me from the building.” Now sounding desperate she said, “I thought you loved me as I love you, why won’t you answer my calls, we’re supposed to be together, I got rid of Jess, she was in the way, I need you.” Looking at Alan, Stone asked him to ring Jess and see if she’s ok while he listened to the next call, Sams crying and shouting, “Answer your fucking phone, I done all this for us so we could be together, I love you and I know you feel the same, I know you love me.” Stone was getting mad, he looked up and Alan said, “I’ve just spoken to Jess, she’s fine and still at her parents place, I told her to stay there for a few more days until we’ve found Sam.” Stone nodded and played the next message, Sam had started slurring her words by now, “You don’t love me, I’ve lost everything, I have nothing now, no work, no friends, nothing and it’s all your fault.” Stone was so mad, “What’s she playing at, what do you think she meant by she has nothing now?” Alan said, “Just play the next one, how many are we up to now?” “I think we're up to number seven but I could be wrong.” Playing the next one Sam was now sounding really angry and drunk, she was laughing when she said, “I’ll tell you something Mr Detective, Ted was so easy, I just had to get him drunk enough so I could stick the needle in his arm, the stupid greedy shit, he wanted me to give him money, it only took one push and off he went, rolly polly down the hill, oh and Chuck, he knew too much, so I bashed him over the head but that shit didn’t die, he spoiled everything.” There was absolute silence in the office, releasing what she was saying, they kept playing the messages, taking a deep breath Stone pressed play, “I hate you! I hate you! It’s all your fault.” Stone had to take a break, he went to get a coffee, brought one back for Alan and played the next one but all she was doing was crying, crying for about three minutes before hanging up, “Right this is the last one, pausing for a second getting mentally ready to listen, Stone pressed play. “I’m tired now, I’m going to sleep, good bye Mark my love.” Then silence, she hadn't hung up, the message was still playing, they could hear movement and breaking of glass, then nothing until the time of the message was up.
No one knew what to say after listening to all the messages but they all knew one thing, they needed to find Sam, and quick, but where could she be.
For days the police searched for Sam but she just couldn’t be found, then after a few days Stone got a call, it was from Jess. He felt nervous about answering because of the way things ended with them, so with some trepidation he answered, “Hello Jess how are you?” her voice was quiet and sounded sad as she spoke saying “I hear you're looking for Sam but can’t find her, by any chance have you looked in that old building where she got those men to take me?”
Stone didn’t think of that replying, “Wow Jess I didn’t even give that place a thought, you could be on to something, thank you. Erm, I have to go now and look there, thanks and I hope you're okay?” Stone hung up still feeling bad about Jess but eagerness to get to the abandoned old building. He stood up from his desk looking around for Det Alan and shouted “God damn it, has anyone seen Alan?” “I’m here, what’s wrong? Calm down." "Grab your coat, we have to go.” Stone noticed Alan looking puzzled and continued on their way out “We’re going back to that spooky abandoned hospital, make sure you’ve got your torch, it’ll be dark by the time we get there.” Det Alan wasn’t happy having to go back there saying, “I’ll call for backup in the car, you know, just in case.”
The drive to the old hospital was long, the sun was going down, Det Alan called for backup on the way, the atmosphere in the car was tense, not knowing what they may find, if anything that is until Alan spoke up saying, “God I hate this place, it’s fucking creepy, I hope back up get’s here quick.” Laughing at his collage Stone said, “Well at least there’s no spooky thunderstorm.”
They eventually pulled up sitting in the car, the engine idling as they looked up at the dark looming iron sign arching over the heavy dark iron metal gates. Stone got out the car, feeling on edge, he walked over to the gates and slowly pushed them open, the gate creaked in protest as they moved once more, then out of nowhere a huge loud crack of thunder making Stone jump, he quickly walked back to the car just in time for a lightning strike which lit the sky, illuminating the creepy driveway. Alan commented in a sarcastic tone laughing, “Good job you didn’t jinx the weather tonight.” The drive up to the hospital was nerving, as the same trees swayed in the moonlight, the thunder rumbbling overhead. They got closer to the building as a lightning strike lit up the hospital making it look even creepier than they remembered. Stone parked the car at the bottom of the stairs, they sat in the car mentally preparing themselves for what’s to come. They looked at each other taking a deep breath. They got out of the car and began the nerve wracking walk to the front door. Stone placed his hands against the door and pushed it open, the smell of damp and neglect hit them both in the face again making Det Alan cough. When he finished they took their flashlights out, turned them on and began their long walk through the dark corridor. “I hate this place” Alan whispered just as lightning flashed filling the sky, making shadows dance within the dark rooms and causing both men to jump. They slowly and carefully walked to the stairs, taking one step at a time, making their way up to where Sam was found last time. Alan opened the door at the top of the stairs, the creaking sent a shiver up his spine as they prepared the walk along another creepy dark passageway. Stone reached the room where he found Sam before, he stood in the doorway frozen, the sight before his eyes upset him so much, Alan came up behind, he moved Stone to one side so he could get in and carefully walked over to the bed. Stone followed now, they stood there looking down at Sam, there was a vodka bottle and sleeping tablets but what caught their eyes was the needle sticking out of her arm. Sam had taken her own life. Stone shone his flashlight on Sam's face and all he could see were her empty lifeless emerald green eyes staring back at him. It was as though Sam was looking straight into his soul.
It had been a few days since Stone found Sam, her lifeless emerald green eyes haunting his dreams, the guilt he felt, if he hadn’t misplaced his phone, maybe Sam would still be alive.
It was a few days later, Lt Clark asked Stone to his office for a chat, he was concerned how or even why Sam had such a fixation with him. He asked Stone but all he could say was, “Well boss, I’m not entirely sure, I think because of her past and personality, she just couldn’t help herself. I think it was after I untied her and helped her up, she rested herself in my arms as I helped her to the ambulance. I think it could have been anyone. It was me she saw first coming to help her, that's the only thing I can think of, and quite frankly I’m fed up and just want to put this away.”
Stone took some time off work to get himself straight, he’s felt guilt before, especially when he shot the other Detective, even though she was a murderer, but this felt worse, this felt personal, at least this time he had Diamond by his side to help him through while Det Mark Stone decides about his future and if he still wants to be a detective.
